Shumaila Khan, BS

A gifted multi-lingual biochemist with an undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University, Shumaila serves Maria's House as one of our Montessori Residents, having completed her AMS Early Childhood certification at the University of Nebraska. Her affection for Montessori practice is rooted not only in her recent studies, but in her own personal experience as a deeply engaged Montessori parent. Shumaila brings her years of practical experience as a laboratory scientist, master gardener, mother and home-educator to our program floor with a joy that flows through our House like morning light.
